A Saturday in Adventure-Capital Rotorua

We started out at the Saturday market, where Jasper really wanted to purchase some forks wrapped around bits of colored glass

We moved on to the Chinese veggies...

....bin after bin of colorful foods that are somewhat difficult to identify

The rumours are true - we are now officially zorbonauts

On our way up the mountain in a gondola - yes, it's still winter

views from the top

Of course, there's a gigantic Jelly Belly shop at the top, with some jellybean art

view of Rotorua, both city and lake

Boys on the nature trail at the top

One last photo before the luge craziness

Patiently waiting in line

"I just know this helmet makes me look dorky."

Jasper's teaching Tom how to use the brakes

We've pulled over on the side of the track just to confirm all parties are safe and operational

Why yes, they do have dinosaur sculptures, thanks for asking.

--complete with bloody spikes.

After some exploring, once again ready to roll

Jasper's luge thinks it's an all-terrain vehicle

Luge battle scars

Time for ice cream! I think Tom needs some more coffee...

Sunset on the way home

so many ferns in NZ...

this is the silver fern
